Celtic Knot
The continuous intertwined knot that is famous in Celtic traditions represents everlasting love and commitment. The knot intertwines seamlessly in the circle of the ring and the intricacy is a beautiful example of Celtic craft-work at its finest. The knot symbolizes forever and there is no better message than that as a gift to a loved one. Celtic knot patterns first started to appear back in the third and fourth centuries. The broken and reconnected plait work first emerged from northern Italy and then spread to Ireland. There are many different types of Celtic knot. Most are endless knots and there are also many varieties of basket weave knots to choose from in a Celtic ring.

Newgrange
Newgrange, a prehistoric monument in County Meath, is the most famous passage tomb in Ireland, dating back to 200 BC. It is famous for the Winter Solstice illumination, which lights up the passage and chamber. The spirals, known as a tri-spiral design, engraved on one of the stones inside the chamber of Newgrange, is probably the most famous Irish Megalithic symbol and looks particularly interesting in a ring.
