This small two-sided white gold Celtic cross is inspired by the great free-standing stone High Celtic Crosses that are found throughout Ireland. This cross is an intricate piece that will catch the light beautifully. The ring on the Celtic cross has many meanings, from representing a halo to representing the Roman sun-god Invictus. Despite the many different interpretations, experts agree that the history of the Celtic cross dates back to the 9th century and perhaps even before that.

Early Celtic crosses were inscribed on rocks, such as one of the most famous ones in Ireland like Gallarus Oratory near Dingle in County Kerry. High crosses then began to become more popular in the 9th and 10th centuries in Ireland and over time they began to be carved out and include more elaborate carvings. This cross continues this magnificent Irish and Celtic tradition.
