Irish Celtic High Crosses are famous worldwide. The second tallest high cross in Ireland is in Moone, County Kildare. The upper part and base were discovered in the graveyard of the abbey there in 1835 and the shaft was discovered in 1893. The cross was finally reconstructed to its original size and it stands at 17.5 feet high and can now be visited inside the ruins of the medieval church.

This beautiful silver necklace is a replica of this remarkable cross, which has a theme of ‘the help of God’. The miracle of the loaves and fishes is also a theme within the cross and is depicted in the finely carved engravings.
