The intricate detail on this beautiful Newgrange faith ring has to be examined closely to be fully appreciated. The ring is inspired by the spiral images found by the Celts at one of Ireland’s most important sites – Newgrange – a passage tomb which dates from 3200 BC.  

The Celts believed that a triscele of spirals was a symbol for fertility, or rebirth, as each journey of the sun would take three months and these spirals are featured on the silver part of the ring. The yellow gold band on this ring, which is part of the Faith Collection at Rings from Ireland, features the word ‘faith’, in Ogham script, Ireland’s ancient alphabet.
